Call to Worship
Leader: Today we gather in oneness with our brothers and sisters to celebrate God’s gifts.
People: We hear the call to rekindle our spirits and to receive strength for our common tasks.
Leader: On this day we will share the bread and wine, which are symbols of God’s power and love.
People: We will open our hearts to accept these gifts, seeking the grace to walk in God’s way.
All: Let us worship God!
Hymn 338 (v.1) “O Beautiful for Spacious Skies”
Prayer of Confession (unison)
Gracious God, we confess that we spend much of our lives on that which does not satisfy. We do not always count our time and resources as precious gifts, but squander them in meaningless activities and seemingly urgent needs. Look kindly upon us, for the temptation to waste is overwhelming in our world. Enable us to understand what is important and to use the gifts of life responsibly. We want to be your people in word and deed so help us follow where you lead. Amen.
Assurance of Pardon
Leader: God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him may not perish but may have eternal life.
People: God did not send the Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him..
All: Thanks be to God for this gift of grace. Amen.
Sharing the Peace of Christ
Leader: To welcome each other is to welcome Jesus himself. As we extend Christ’s peace to one another with a wave, a smile, a peace sign or offering a prayer, God’s beloved community becomes real and we are reminded that we are one family, God’s family. So let us extend peace and love to each other. May the peace of Christ be with you all.
People: And also with you!

Offering Prayer (unison)
God of all good things, we bring our offering to you now and dedicate it to the work of your kingdom here on earth. May this offering be used wisely and diligently in service to others, so that your love may be known throughout the world. We also dedicate ourselves to you. Take us and use us, so that our hands and hearts may reach out in service to you and to all whom you love. This we ask in Jesus’ name. Amen.
