May has finally arrived and it is great to see the tulips, daffodils, and all the flowering trees in blossom. But it is also a busy time as the school year winds down and we get into graduations.
This Sunday will be the last children and youth Sunday School classes, until next September. So we will be honoring those involved in Christian Education at the worship service. The children will also be preparing treats for our fellowship time between services.
The mission trip team that went down to Houston last month will be sharing their experiences in an adult forum this Sunday. They had a great week helping folks rebuild after the devastating Hurricane Harvey. Join them in the chapel at around 10:15 to hear all about it.
The Chancel Choir will be singing at the 9:00 service, and I will be preaching. I will probably be sitting on a stool, but I will be there. My text is 1 John 5:1-5 and my sermon title is “Spiritual Therapy.”
Finally, there will be a training meeting this week for anyone interested in volunteering with Family Promise. We were supposed to have this last week, but it needed to be rescheduled. So please join us at 5:30 on Wednesday the 9th, in the chapel.
Stay in One Peace,
