Hello there,

HAPPY ST. PATRICK’S DAY!!! So here is an ancient Irish blessing that I just made up a few minutes ago:

May your troubles melt away like the snow in the springtime.

May your joys be as long as a summer day.

May dear friends swirl about you as leaves in the autumn.

And on cold winter nights, as you sit by the fire, may there always be a loved one’s hand to hold.

I hope all these comforting thoughts will make you all the more willing to help us out on Saturday morning. Holy Week and Easter is a time when visitors do come and check us out. We want to make the church grounds as neat and tidy as we can, so we are having a clean-up day starting at 9:00 on Saturday morning. Please come help and bring rakes, brooms, shovels, blowers, and anything else you can think of to get rid of the trash and grit of winter. We can use everyone’s help; even little kids can help pick up garbage and sticks. So please show up and help us get the job done. If it rains we will reschedule for Saturday, April 2nd.

Sunday is Palm Sunday, of course. The Cherub choir will be processing with their palm leaves. The Chancel Choir will be singing anthems by Fuare and Handel. I will be preaching on the version of the story found in Luke 19:28-40. My sermon title is “Facing the Truth.”

We are having an Agape Dinner Worship next week on Maundy Thursday, March 24th at 6:00. If you haven’t signed up on the sheet in the sanctuary, please let the church office know, so we can make sure there is enough food.

On Good Friday we will be having a communion service in the chapel at 1:00. This will be led by the And on cold winter nights as you sit by the fire, may there always be a loved one’s hand to hold. And on cold winter nights as you sit by the fire, may there always be a loved one’s hand to hold. And don’t miss out on the fun of the Easter Party, Saturday, March 26th at 10:00 a.m.

Stay in One Peace,
