Weekly Contact- July 26, 2018
Hello there,
Once again Marion Cares is having their backpack drive provided school supplies for needy kids in our community. We already have had people turning in backpacks. If you picked up a slip, this is a reminder that we would like you to turn them in by this Sunday. If you have not picked up a slip (I think we have 5 left) stop by the church or contact me and we will see that you get one.
The senior high youth are away this week on a mission trip to Marvel, AR. They will be returning on Saturday, so keep them in your prayers for a safe journey home. And mark your calendar for Sunday, August 12th when they lead worship and give a report on how God has used them during this last week.
The Chancel Chimes bell choir will be providing the special music this Sunday. I will be continuing my One in Christ sermon series on Ephesians. This week my sermon title is “One in Christ—Grounded,” and my text Ephesians 3:14-21.
Finally, don’t forget our church picnic is coming up in two weeks. It will be after worship on August 5th at Hanna Park. Pork sandwiches, table settings, and beverages provided. Please bring a side dish, salad, or dessert to share.
