There is probably a lot going on in your life right now. While I hope it is all good, getting together with family and loved ones, I also hope you find the time to be quiet and ponder the birth of a Savior.
Here is what will be going on at FPC over the holidays.
CHRISTMAS EVE—We will have our traditional family service at 5:00 in the sanctuary, with plenty of carol singing and a story told by Pastor Beth. The Rainbow Bells will be playing, Sharon Colton will be playing for the offertory, and Jess Kozloski will be singing a solo.
Our candlelight communion service will be at 7:00 in the sanctuary. The Chancel choir will be singing and I will be preaching.
CHRISTMAS DAY—We will have a special worship service down in the social room at 9:00 a.m. We will sing carols and hear the Christmas story, but this will be a true time of SERVICE. As part of our worship, we will be sorting all the donated items from our Advent-in-reverse project and then taking them over to the food pantry across the alley. You are invited to be comfortable and relaxed at this service. I plan on wearing jeans. Come in your pajamas if you like.
The church office will be closed on Monday the 26th and Tuesday the 27th. If you want to get your contribution in for 2016, it must be in the office by noon on Friday the 30th.
NEW YEAR’S DAY—We will have one worship service at 11:00. (PLEASE NOTE THE TIME) This will be up in the sanctuary. Karen Pierce will be playing her hammer dulcimer, which is always lovely. Pastor Nancy Redman will be preaching.
I hope you can join us for any or all of these times. If you are traveling, may God watch over you and keep you safe. Have a most blessed Christmas and may 2017 bring blessings to us all.
Stay in one Heavenly Peace,
