These little weekly epistles are sent out on Thursdays at 4:00, so for many of you by the time you open this it may be too late, but I would like to remind you of our Maundy Thursday Communion/Tenebrae service this evening at 6:30 in our chapel. It will be a wonderful way to remember our Lord’s great act of love through his death on the cross.
Tomorrow, we will be having a Good Friday communion service at 1:00 downstairs in the chapel.
Saturday we will be having our annual children’s Easter party at 10:00. This is open to preschool through elementary age children, accompanied by an adult. Friends are welcome, of course.
Sunday, of course, is THE DAY. We will be celebrating the resurrection of our Lord with wonderful music, flowers, prayers and the opening of God’s Word. My text will be Matthew’s account of the resurrection found in the 28th chapter, verses 1 through 10. My sermon title is “What Difference Does it Make?”
If you will be away visiting family, may you have a safe journey and a joyful time. If family are visiting you, be sure to bring them to worship with you on Sunday. I will be glad to see them.
In the meantime, have a blessed Easter and stay in One Peace,
