Dear Members and Friends,
We will hold a Service of Witness to the Resurrection and Thanksgiving for the life of Paul Draper tomorrow at 1 p.m. in the sanctuary. As many of your know, Paul served in a variety of roles in the City of Marion and most recently was a sitting Ruling Elder and treasurer of the corporation at First Presbyterian Church.
The Spirituality and Health class will meet this Sunday following worship. We are discussing our own health and experiences in the health care system together with Mark Lach’s book Treat Me, Not My Age. This book is now available in our library.
The Book Club was rescheduled to next Thursday at 1 p.m. and will be looking at Home Front by Kristin Hannah.
You are invited to join the group that meditates for twenty minutes each Monday at 8:15 am in the Lounge. Some meditators are new; others have regular practice of meditation.
Session meets Tuesday, February 25, at 7 p.m. Each Session meeting begins with worship. Session is continuing its work on the budget.
The Ash Wednesday worship service is on Wednesday, February 26, at 6 p.m.
Youth Director Abbie Parker, joined by a cadre of volunteers, keeps the Refuel program running smoothly. Micah, Hannah, and Issac Langley lead the 25 plus children in worship each week.
There has been a generous donation of large print Bibles and tabs to easily find the books of the Bible. There are three Bibles that have been tabbed, two are New King James Version and one is an Amplified Bible. If you would like a large print tabbed Bible, please email Abbie Parker at [email protected] or call 641-417-9119. Contact Abbie if you have your own Bible that you would like tabbed or if you have any questions.
Nancy Redman is still suffering on vacation on the sunny, warm beaches of California. I miss her presence and ministry.
With gratitude, Terry
