Weekly Contact- December 21, 2017

Merry Christmas!

If you are traveling and will not be with us this week, may God keep you safe.  May you enjoy a wonderful time with those you love.  And may this be a very meaningful holiday season for you.

If you will be around, here is what is happening on Sunday, December 24th.  There will be one worship service in the morning at 9:00.  There will be a bell quartette playing the special music and Sam Raiche will be singing.  Pastor Beth is preaching on Matthew 1:18-25, continuing our sermon series with “Do Not Be Afraid, Joseph!”

At 5:00 we will have our Family Christmas Eve service.  The Praise Team will be leading us in some of the carols.  The Kozlowski kids will be playing piano pieces for the introit.  Anyone who would like to is invited to join in playing the Rainbow Bells. Pastor Beth and I will be telling a Christmas story.

At 7:00 we will have our Candlelight Communion Service.  Both the Chancel Bells and the Chancel Choir will be providing the beautiful Christmas music.  I will be preaching on Luke 2:1-20, wrapping up our sermon series with “Do Not Be Afraid, Shepherds!”  Of course we end the service with communion and singing “Silent Night.”

The church office will be closed on Monday and Tuesday next week.  It will be open from 9:00 to 1:00, Wednesday through Friday.

The final deposit for 2017 will be made at noon on Friday the 29th.  Of course we will have a worship service on Sunday the 31st, but that offering will be deposited the following week into the next year.  So if you wish to make a contribution and for tax purposes you need it to count for 2017, you need to get it in by Friday at noon.

There will not be a weekly contact next Thursday, so just to remind you there will only be one service at 9:00 on Sunday the 31st.  Pastor Nancy Redman will be preaching that morning. Connie Peake and Paul Holstein have a duet planned for special music.

Once again, please accept my warmest wishes for the Merriest Christmas, and may 2018 be a year filled with blessings for us all.

Stay in One Heavenly Peace!
