Global and National Missions We Support

Ceara Presbytery (Brazil)

The Ceara Presbytery in Forteleza, Brazil is a sister presbytery to our Presbytery of East Iowa.  About once a year there is a presbytery-wide trip to learn more about the church in Brazil and strengthen our relationships.  FPC has helped sponsor mission trips and building projects. We helped the Barra Church establish a new location. We look forward to sending a member of our church to visit Ceara in the next year or so.  For more information go to the Presbytery of East Iowa website.

Operation Christmas Child

For many years our church has participated at Christmas time in filling shoe boxes for Operation Christmas Child.  Between 3-5 people go to Minneapolis, MN to help sort the thousands of shoe boxes to get them ready for children across the world.  For more information please visit the Samaritan’s Purse website.

Presbyterian Frontier Fellowship

Presbyterian Frontier Fellowship is boldly proclaiming the Gospel throughout the world. Its mission is to mobilize congregations to participate with God in bringing the Good News of the Kingdom into cultures where the church is absent. It supports the planting of indigenous churches. It is calling forth people to Jesus Christ among the unreached. Presbyterian Frontier Foundation is committed to Jesus Christ, empowered by the Holy Spirit and rooted in the Scriptures and prayer.  For more information go to the PFF Website

Heifer International

Today, millions of people who were once hungry will be nourished by milk, eggs and fresh vegetables. Families who for generations knew only poverty will be building new homes and starting businesses. Children who once headed out to the fields to do backbreaking work will be heading into schoolrooms to learn to read. People who never thought they’d be in a position to help someone else will be experiencing the joy of charitable giving. How is this possible? With Heifer’s proven approach – more than 65 years in the making – to helping people obtain a sustainable source of food and income.  For more information go to Heifer International website.
