Creative Artists is a local organization dedicated to broadening interest and skills in the visual arts. Their purpose is to foster artistic and cultural growth through exciting programs, educational workshops and exhibits. They are starting up a new program for hands-on art activities called Creative Hands, which will offer a variety of monthly classes and activities. The first meeting will be held in our Social Room at FPC on Thursday morning, January 16, starting at 9:30. Friends and members of FPC are invited to join them and have some fun doing a little artistic expression.
For this first meeting, everyone is encouraged to bring along some interesting object that we will use to set up some still life compositions. We will spend some time sketching, drawing or painting these arrangements. If you have your own art supplies, please bring them. Otherwise, some basic materials will be provided. No previous art experience is necessary, just come and enjoy yourself.
