It has been a few weeks since you heard from me. Judy and I have been away on a little study leave/vacation time. We spent a week at Chautauqua Institute, back near Jamestown, NY, listening to lectures, attending concerts and reliving some old memories. We both worked for the Institute the summer after we were married. We said we would come back some day as guests, rather than employees, and we did. We also had a wonderful time visiting our son and his family in Cincinnati.
We just got back, which is why I am trying to play catch up and am late in getting this out. Pastor Nancy will be preaching this Sunday. Her text is Ephesians 2:11-22 and her sermon title is “Dismantle Your Walls.” Sharon Colton and her daughter, Kristi Schamberger, will be playing a piano duet, which is certain to be inspiring.
The Senior High youth, along with our youth director, Abbie Parker, Pastor Beth and Jon Bogert will leave early on Sunday morning for their week long mission trip to work on a Native American reservation in Nebraska. We will keep them all in our prayers for a safe and meaningful mission trip experience.
Keep Cool and Stay in One Peace,
