Last Sunday our youth did an excellent job leading the service and reporting on their mission trips. And we want to thank Jess Kozloski for serving as our youth director for the last two years. Jess is focusing on her teaching career and we wish her all the best. We also want to remind you that if you loaned us any tools for the mission trip, you may pick them up in Pastor Beth’s office.
Next week is the last week of our summer FLY program. Thank you so much, all of you who have donated juice boxes or other gifts, and especially those of you who have volunteered your time to make it all work. While we are so very grateful we have received word that they are short volunteers for every day next week. So, one last push; if you could spare a little extra time next week and help wrap everything up, contact Pastor Beth at firstname.lastname@example.org.
This Sunday in worship, Megan England will be playing her clarinet for special music. I will be starting a two week sermon series on the 6th chapter of the Gospel of John, where Jesus describes himself as the bread of life. This week the text is John 6:48-58 and the sermon title is “Soul Food.” And just to “whet your appetite” I have something a little different planned for the sermon itself. Come and see what that might be.
Stay in One Peace,
