Rev Elizabeth (Beth) HilkerbaumerAssociate Pastor
I began my ministry here as the Associate Pastor in January 2011. I was born here in Iowa, Sac City, but moved to Ohio when I was seven years old. My parents are also PC(USA) pastor and they currently serve in churches in the Columbus, OH area. I did my undergraduate studies at Central Methodist University in Fayette, MO. I majored in Psychology and minored in Religion. I graduated college in 2002. I later moved to Louisville, KY where in 2004 I began attending Louisville Seminary. In 2008 I received my Masters of Divinity and Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy degrees.
Prior to coming to Marion, I was in Clarendon Hills, IL at Community Presbyterian Church. I served as their Designated Associate Pastor for two years.
Much of my time is spent providing leadership and direction for the Christian Education programs and community outreach and mission. I work closely with the middle school and high school youth. I am also active in various ministries in the Marion community and I am always on the look-out for new opportunities the congregation can be involved in living out our mission statement of “externally serving”.
I enjoy reading, going to the movies, and spending time with friends and family.
